(Special Relativity) Proving the mass of a proton using rest mass
I don't really know how to word this but for the questions you find the mass of a proton travelling at a certain speed as a multiple of it's rest mass. Like:
Protons are accelerated from rest through a potential difference of 2900 MV to a certain speed, v
Show that the mass of a proton at this speed is 4.1m0, where m0 is the rest mass of the proton.

Proving the mass of a proton using rest mass
eV=Ek( kinetic energy).
Because have to take into account relativistic effects Ek=(m-mo)c2
You can find Ek =eV
Then find m from kinetic energy equation above.
Divide answer by 1.67x10-27(mass of proton at rest mo)
Answer should be 4.1
