Electromagnetic Waves
Maxwell mathematically predicted that electromagnetic waves were oscillating electric and magnetic fields before there was any experimental evidence to suggest this.
You need to be able to draw and label an electromagnetic wave and describe it in words.
An electromagnetic wave consists of 2 waves in phase, in planes perpendicular to each other. The two waves are an electric wave and a magnetic wave. They are perpendicular to each other and to the direction of propagation of the wave.
